Sex therapy offers perspective on the causes and treatment of male and female sexual dysfunctions, sexual concerns and issues and sexual addictions. Conventional methods of treatment are utilized as well as techniques specific to the problems to treat the individual and the relationship.
What is a sex therapist?
A sex therapist is a professional who, in addition to his/her basic training and qualifications, has extensive training in all aspects of human sexuality and the treatment of sexual dysfunctions and disorders. Both AASECT and ABS recognize experts in the field.
What types of problems do you treat?
Sexual concerns may arise from emotional issues and/or physiological problems. Dr. Winter provides treatment for the following:

What can I expect?
Sex therapy employs many of the same principles as other modalities; however, there are also specific techniques available for various sexual problems. Unlike perhaps other therapy experiences, there is an explicit exploration of the sexual concern. Dr. Winter, while practicing general psychology, has the knowledge and sensitivity required to address these concerns.
